  Adam Rainer lived between the years 1899 and 1950. He is the only person in recorded history to have been both a dwarf and a giant. He died on March 4th, 1950, and here is a brief history of him. He was born in present-day Austria. At the age of 19, Adam was only 111.5 cm tall. This is a typical definition of dwarfism as he was below 147 cm. At the age of 33 in the year 1932, Adam had reached a height of 218 cm. At the point of death, Adam was 7 feet and 8 inches tall. That is a stunning 234 cm and a perfect definition of a giant. Medically, he is thought to have undergone a situation known as acromegaly. As a result of his gigantism, he became bedridden for the rest of his life.
